The Basics of How our Online and Distance Education Programs Work:

Knowledge Elements interactive online educational delivery system, called Atheneo™, provides access to a comprehensive learning platform, course management system, and content repository. There are numerous administrative tools for tracking instructors, student advisors, students, etc.

The institution would not need to have a different online learning platform and course management system for its own online learning program. The Atheneo system allows for full utilization of the content repository and at the same time allows instructional designers from the institution to create, monitor, and offer their own course content to their own students.

Knowledge Elements has designed Atheneo™, iCourseCreator™, and other tools specifically for organizational and multi-institutional partnering needs and requirements.

The Atheneo™ system enables you to develop your own robust online learning program while also participating in the Consortium (shared course content repository and adjunct instructor base referred to as KEEN) to fully meet student needs and the mission of your institution. All fees for the use of the Atheneo™ system are paid by the institution out of tuition-generated funds and are only charged for the actual services utilized.

Step One: Prior to developing your own online courses, you can offer...
  • Alpha Courses

  • Epsilon Courses

Courses offered through KEEN (not copyrighted by the College) which include the Atheneo learning platform, curriculum adopted and offered for credit by the College, and qualified instructors provided by the College.

Step Two: Based on our experience, knowledge elements personnel can provide the College with training and tools for beginning and developing online courses and programs (degrees, certificates, and personal development)...

Step Three: After beginning the development of your own online courses, you can offer...
  • Beta Courses

Courses to which your College holds the copyright - offered through KEEN to your students and to those from other member colleges, utilizing the Atheneo learning platform and qualified instructors approved by the College.

  • Gamma Courses

  • Delta Courses

Courses to which your College holds the copyright and offered exclusively to your College’s students via the Atheneo learning platform and utilizing both curriculum and qualified instructors provided by the College.

Expenses for students taking online courses include:

  • platform usage, curriculum and instructor pay for Alpha Courses

Revenue to your institution can be generating by allowing knowledge elements to market your original course content and even your instructors for students registering through other KEEN members:
